Update on Black Hackle Club Happenings and Events

1. As Salam and a Very Good Morning Dato’-Dato’, Sir and Gentlemen, please be informed of the following ongoing matters of fellow Ranger Veterans and organized events:

a. Mej Hj Salleh bin Ismail currently remains admitted into Ward 8B, Hospital Ampang. It has been almost a month since his transfer from HAT Tunku Mizan.

(1) He had bone marrow sample done last week, this would be followed with chemo injection and pill on 02 April 24. Second sample for bone marrow be done subsequently.
(2) Blood count at the moment is stable, hopefully it continues to show progress to the required level.
(3) He is unable to receive any visitors. Only immediate family members, limited to 10-15 mins, and done outside the ward. If Mej Hj Salleh is weak, family members are not permitted go in, any food or parcel delivery is done through the security personnel.
(4) He welcomes messages, extends his thanks and appreciation for all the kind doa and concern. Please continue to keep him in our doa.

b. Lt Kol Alias Abu Bakar is presently at this residence after undergoing radiotherapy at GH KL. His diet has been good since and is able to move around slowly but requires wheelchair for extended distances. Due for oncology appointment on 03 Apr 24. Extends his thanks and appreciation for the messages and doa. Please continue to keep him in our doa.

2. Some future events in the pipeline as follows:

a. BHC Majlis Sambutan Adil Fitri 2024 – this event would be held at Hotel Grand Barkah on 28 Apr 24, from 1100hrs – 1600hrs.

(1) It would be an Open House celebration, buffet array with little formalities. All Veteran RRD Officers and families are invited.
(2) Booking has been made for 250 paxs. The Committee is currently attempting to manage the anticipated costing. Contribution from members would be needed. Notice on this request would be posted in BHC Whatsapp Group from 16 Apr 24.
(3) With this early information, after all a long hiatus, BHC very much appreciate all distant, outstation veterans would make some plans and effort to attend this gathering. Let us make this an event to remember.

b. BHC Golf Monthly Medal – this event would be held at Kota Seriemas Golf and Country Club on 29 Apr 24.

(1) Mode of play would be strokeplay, Handicap of the Day.

(2) Tentative booking has been made for 8 flights (32 golfers).

(3) Apart from Monthly Medal Challenge Trophy for the overall winner, BHC would attempt to have prizes for all participants. Optimistic there be additional surprises.

(4) Kol Khalid Sah has readily volunteered to take the lead in this organization and would post registration details in due course. Please sign up early.
